BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Concrete, Inc. is a 109 year old company that primarily engages in producing and erecting prestressed/precast concrete building components. The prestress sector was founded in 1968. In the 1970's Concrete, Inc. entered the market by producing and selling double tees for wall panels and roof members to General Contractors. Today, Concrete, Inc. is one of the 218 PCI Certified plants in the United States and offers a wide array of concrete building components. From structural concrete columns, beams, double tees, and flat slab panels to intricate architectural concrete work. We have completed over 1600 projects representing over 130 million dollars in sales. Our total employment base varies from 90 to 150 people. ORGANIZATION Our Corporate Headquarters and Manufacturing facility are located in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Our sales and marketing staff cover the entire tri-state region which includes, North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota. In 1994, Concrete, Inc. was purchased by Wells Concrete Products Company of Wells, MN, and is now a wholly owned subsidiary. AFFIRMATIVE ACTION Concrete, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer. TECHNOLOGY Concrete, Inc. keeps up-to-date with state of the art micro computers and software. Our drafters and designers are thoroughly trained with Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD). This tool increases productivity and provides a faster turnaround time. Once a design is placed into the computer system, modifications can be done quickly and easily. We have an entire department dedicated to Quality Control. Our PCI Certified Technicians continually monitor each of the computerized, heat controlled forms for the best possible results. Computerized concrete batching accurately measures aggregate, water and cement for mix design uniformity. Our field crews also use the latest technology.
